About Me

As a black mixed race person of color, navigating complex identities has been a lifelong process. My own experiences with identity and navigating growing up in religious spaces, then the long process of faith deconstruction has provided me with personal knowledge and passion for helping others within their own processes of transition and self understanding.

I have always been curious about why people do the things they do, and I feel grateful to have found work where I have the privilege of supporting others as they too try to understand the roots of how they show up in the world.

Getting my Masters in Social Work has provided a framework for seeing the impact of systems and environment on individuals as well as groups, which I believe is necessary for understanding the whole person. I loved my grad school program and graduated in 2016, and then I received my social work license in 2022. My work experience has been as a therapist with teenagers in schools, as well as working at a children’s hospital. My work at the children’s hospital included supporting bereaved families through the Bereavement Center. I have been in private practice since 2023.

I was born and raised in northern California until my early 30’s (except for one year living in Guatemala and Mexico), but I now call Seattle home. I’m so thankful to have always lived in places where nature is accessible, especially being near the ocean- which the Pisces in me appreciates! I have found nature to be where I feel the most grounded. I love hiking, trying new restaurants, reading, and spending time with people I love.
